This little table used to be a blonde 1950's cupboard door. The legs were a 2x2 garden post and the side rails are pine of some various vintages.
I painted this piece on a day when I had mixed up a large number of greens for the dining room table I blogged about previously. I named it the "Verde Mondrian". It was sturdy enough to be a bench but pretty enough to be a small coffee table.
The golden wood color was especially nice under the shades of green paint. It added a very rich glow to the piece that was both beautiful and unusual.
