This little fellow used to be a cupboard door!
The diamonds are hand-cut for each piece I make. I call this paint finish "verde brickwork". It is quicker to paint than a checkerboard or harlequin top and I like how you can really elongate a small piece with this technique. It also appeals to the architecture lover in me.
The paint colors are unique to the pieces I painted that day. (There is a matching coffee table out there in the world somewhere).
Cupboard Door, Pine, Hand-cut Diamonds, Latex Paint, Spar Varnish.
